Anatomy of Stanmore
Finding Inspiration in Architecture
I speak for all the houses in this series. Anatomy of Stanmore is deeply personal to me, capturing the essence of a neighborhood that intertwines history, character, and my artistic vision. The houses I selected are unique in architectural design and inspired a vibrant energy towards my creative process. These paintings reflect not just the structure but the atmosphere, colours, and life I sensed within their walls and surroundings. As I created them, I imagined how it might resonate with the very people who call this house a home.
I would love to offer these paintings to the household that inspired it, as I feel it truly belongs in the place it reflects. It would be a full-circle moment - seeing my artistic interpretation find its home in the very environment that birthed its creation. The paintings could serve as a unique keepsake, a celebration of their home's beauty and presence in the Stanmore community. Selling these pieces to the owners of the house would not only bring me immense joy but also strengthen the connection between my art and the stories they tells.
Framing is available as an option for my artworks, offering both aesthetic enhancement and protection. While framing can add a polished presentation, I also value the raw, unframed look, which emphasises the tactile and expressive nature of my work. Whether framed or unframed, the choice depends on how the piece will be displayed and the collector's personal preference.
